Description of program:
• Promotes literacy by encouraging students’ interest in poetry.
• Presents a lively overview of the different types of poetry.
• Familiarizes students with the work of several acclaimed poets.
• Demonstrates poetry terms such as rhyme, rhythm, metaphor, story, song, and alliteration.
• Provides a valuable and fun enrichment to the elementary reading and language curriculum.
