Jeff Savage: Jeff is America's leading author of children's sports books. His award-winning list of more than 100 books includes biographies of positive role models in sports and entertainment, current events, and historical accounts of settling the West. Jeff Savage is a six-time winner of the International Reading Association-Children's Book Council Children's Choice Award and winner of the Voice of Youth Advocates Non-Fiction Honor Award. More than 60 of his books have been adopted by the National Accelerated Reader Program.

Description of program: Students will see that writing is fun as Jeff describes his work with men and women athletes and celebrities. With transparencies and a wealth of hands-on materials such as interviewing tools and writing materials, Jeff will inspire girls and boys to be readers and writers too. His dynamic presentations include audience participation and are varied to connect with all grade levels.
