Live Wild Animal Presentations

"I really enjoyed the animals. My favorite animal was Mia the fox. I liked her pointy ears.
I also liked Boo the lemur. I liked his long tail.”

Giselle - age 8

Saving Wildlife International: Saving Wildlife International (SWI) provides a safe and unique educational experience utilizing displaced wildlife in programs throughout California. Our environmental education programs captivate students in preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and college campuses.

The animals that will visit your school are referred to as “Wildlife Ambassadors.” Many of them were discarded or displaced, but now have a permanent caring home and meaningful life in educational programs.

Saving Wildlife International is a 501 C 3 nonprofit organization that is fully insured and licensed by California Department of Fish and Game, U.S. department of Agriculture and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Description of programs:
SWI offers many different, entertaining, educational and empowering programs for your school to choose from. Each program features a minimum of six “wildlife ambassadors” and lasts approximately 45 minutes making back-to-back programs easy to schedule.

We work with California Science Standards and your school’s curriculum to ensure that your students will learn about a species’ adaptations, ecosystems and their relevance to our environment. Our message of conservation will inspire your students to make a difference for wildlifeand our environment!

Wildlife ~ Past, Present, and Future
What does it mean when an animal is endangered, threatened, or extinct? Your students will be able to answer these questions and begin to understand the symbiotic relationship between humans and wildlife. Learning how kids can make a difference in wildlife conservation not only empowers the students, but also motivates them to make wiser decisions regarding our environment.

Reality of Reptiles
Discover the fascinating world of reptiles, amphibians, and insects. SWI educators will unravel their classifications and some common misconceptions surrounding these misunderstood creatures.

Expedition to the Rainforest
Students will embark on an exciting expedition to the rainforest without ever leaving their school! Students will explore why the rainforest is important to humans and animals as they meet some special animals that come from this fascinating and fragile environment.

Indigenous
The United States and California particularly are two of the most geographically diverse places on earth. Students will explore our native wildlife and their habitats through a variety of native wildlife ambassadors.
